Investment Banker Next Fletcher Series Speaker at HSU

The leader of Hilltop Securities, Inc., and its subsidiaries will be the next speaker in the fall  Fletcher Lecture Series at Hardin-Simmons University.

Brad Winges, president and Chief Executive Officer, will speak at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 29 in the Houston-Lantrip Center, located at 2241 Pine St. The lectures are free, but registration is required by Sept. 21. Click here to register.

As president and CEO, Winges leads the firm’s strategic direction and oversees the investment bank’s financial strength, stability and executive management. 

A promotional email says the following about the lecture series:

“The Fletcher Lecture Series at Hardin-Simmons University brings nationally recognized leaders to campus to explore big ideas at the intersection of business, science, faith, and public life. Designed to spark meaningful dialogue, each event connects students, faculty, and the broader West Texas community with thought leaders who shape our world. Named for former HSU president Dr. Jesse C. Fletcher, the series honors his legacy of intellectual curiosity and faith-driven leadership. It reinforces our university’s mission to equip students with both professional insight and enduring values.”

The next speaker in the series will be Jean Savage, president and CEO of Trinity Industries. Her presentation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 6 in the Houston-Lantrip Center. Registration deadline is Sept. 28. Click here to register.

Winges, the speaker for the Sept. 29 lecture, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. Before joining HilltopSecurities, Winges served as senior managing director at Piper Jaffray, an investment bank, where he was a member of the executive leadership team. While at Piper Jaffray, he served as head of fixed income services, head of firm investments and trading, head of proprietary trading, and president of Piper Jaffray Investment Management.
