Sacred Site Tour Hosted by Interfaith Council

The annual Sacred Site Tour is set for 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Cassy’s Healing Center, 141 Ruby St.

The tour is hosted by the Abilene Interfaith Council. Cassy’s has provided Sacred Space for the gathering of many different faiths and spiritual paths since 1993. Visitors will experience a Native American Tipi, Sweatlodge, and Medicine Wheel, followed by PowWow Drum and Song with Icie Mitchell.

Mike Andrews (Three Bears) will talk about Native American ceremonies. Mike moved to Taos, New Mexico, in 1997 to pursue art full time after a career in the corporate world. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering and a certificate to teach science in secondary school.

He has been doing ceremonies since 1990 when he experienced an aspect/theophany of the Up Divine, which was life changing. Three Bears has participated in and facilitated a number of different Native American and Indigenous ceremonies over the last 30-plus years. He is a Native American Pipe Carrier and has been authorized to lead Bear Heart Vision Quests since 2004.
