Fletcher Series Lecturer: David Auld

David Auld, executive chairman of the board of D.R. Horton homebuilders, based in Arlington, will be the next speaker in the Fletcher Lecture Series at Hardin-Simmons University.
Auld’s presentation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, in HSU’s Houston-Lantrip Center on Pine Street. Registration deadline is Oct. 19. The lectures are free, but registration is required. Click here to register.

The next speaker in the series will be David B. Miller, co-founder and managing partner of EnCap Investments. His presentation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3 in the Houston-Lantrip Center. Auld, speaker for the Oct. 27 lecture, is executive chairman of the board of D.R. Horton, a position he has held since May 2024 following the passing of the company’s founder and chairman, Donald Horton. Previously, Auld was executive vice chair of the board from October 2023 to May 2024. He was president and CEO of D.R. Horton from October 2014 to October 2023. Auld graduated from Texas Tech University in 1978 with a bachelor of business administration in accounting degree.
