Holy Week Luncheon Series
By Loretta Fulton
The annual Holy Week Luncheon Series, a tradition in Abilene for over 40 years, will begin Monday, April 14.
A brown bag luncheon will be held each day through Thursday, April 17, at one of four host churches–Highland, St. Paul, First Baptist, and First Central Presbyterian. Each day a minister will preach the sermon at another minister’s church. Theme is “Who Am I in Holy Week?”
The series is free and all are invited. Everyone is asked to bring a lunch. Dessert and drinks will be provided by the host church. Doors will open each day at 11:45 a.m. The program will begin at 12:20, including music, prayers, scripture readings, and the sermon.
