The head of Trinity Industries, Inc., headquartered in Dallas, will be the guest speaker for the Oct. 6 Fletcher Lecture Series at Hardin-Simmons University.

Jean Savage is president and chief executive officer of Trinity Industries, which owns businesses that provide railcar products in North America under the trade name TrinityRail®. 

Savage will speak at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, in the Houston-Lantrip Center, 917 Lineberry Blvd., just off Pine Street. The lectures are free, but registration is required. Click here to register.

The next speaker in the series will be David Auld, CEO of D.R. Horton, executive chairman of the board of directors of D.R. Horton homebuilders, with corporate headquarters in Arlington. Savage, the speaker for the Oct. 6 lecture, was appointed CEO and president of Trinity Industries effective Feb. 17, 2020. She previously was vice president of the Surface Mining & Technology Division of Caterpillar, Inc. Previously, Savage worked in a variety of manufacturing and engineering positions. She also was an intelligence offer in U.S. Army Reserves for nine years.
