What an exciting time for the Catholic Church in America!

And what an opportunity for Pope Leo XIV to make a proclamation to foster Christian unity on a global scale.

Just ten words: “All followers of Jesus Christ are welcome at the table.”

All followers. No other restrictions. You are welcome at the table.

It would be not only a proclamation for the Church, but also an invitation for other Christian fellowships to examine their practices and open communion to all believers.

The body of Christ, the bread of heaven. The blood of Christ, the cup of salvation.

Christian unity. It starts at the table.

Let it be.
