City-Wide Zoom Prayer Meeting Set For Sunday
1 Kingdom is hosting a city-wide Zoom prayer meeting beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13. Up to 3,000 people can participate in the hourlong meeting.
Chuck Farina, pastor of New Hope Church and a leader in 1 Kingdom, said in a news release that the Zoom meeting grew out of a suggestion from local pastors. More than 30 churches are participating.
“Our city is in urgent need of a touch from God,” Farina wrote. “Covid numbers are at an all time high, state mandated shut downs are being set into motion, and our nation is divided.”
An in-person meeting would be unwise at this time due to the increase in coronavirus cases, Farina wrote, so the idea of a Zoom meeting was suggested. The event will include a short time of worship, followed by a variety of pastors who will lead in prayers for the city and its leaders.
