ZAMBIA MISSION OBSERVING 25 YEARS

The first trip to Africa made such an impression on 12-year-old Molly McCoy that she vowed to her parents she would return, even if it meant going without them.
She wasn’t kidding.
Molly, the daughter of James and Debbie McCoy, made 10 more trips with a group of Abilenians who travel to Zambia each summer on a medical mission. Too young to practice medicine, Molly always assisted with the children’s ministry — something she will do again someday.

I just read the full story in the newspaper. The dedication of missionaries, whether professional or volunteer, never ceases to amaze me. These people are willing to do without their usual conveniences in order to fulfill a calling they feel from God. I thank all of those who do the work for those of us who do not.
