CONFRONTING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

The Abilene Police Department, in conjunction with the city’s faith-based community, is hosting a Community Conversation to Address Domestic Violence 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday.
Anyone interested is invited to attend the meeting at Beltway Park North Campus, 2850 Highway 351. The event is free and registration is not required.
The informational session will be led by the police department. Some topics to be covered include signs of domestic violence, how domestic violence affects the city, statistics, available help, culture of blame and “leaving is not easy.”
Hosts are 1 Kingdom, Regional Victim Crisis Center, Noah Project, and Beltway Park.
