“Challenges and Triumphs: The Role of Muslim Women in American Society” will be the theme of the monthly meeting of the Abilene Interfaith Council.

The meeting, open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Abilene Woman’s Club, 3525 S. 14th St.

Guest speaker will be Mona Kafeel, CEO, Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation. She will discuss the experiences and stories of Muslim women in the United States. Kafeel was named one of the 50 Leading Women of Plano for 2023.
