ORTHODOX HOLY WEEK AND EASTER
Orthodox Christians, including members of St. Luke Orthodox Church in Abilene, will celebrate Holy Week and Easter a week later than Western Christians due to using a differenct calendar.
Easter Sunday will be April 19. St. Luke services will be livestreamed on YouTube and then uploaded to the church’s Facebook page. See “Saint Luke Orthodox Christian Church” to access both.
Services at the church will not be open to the public. A small team of chanters and servers, observing proper social distancing, will lead the services.

Saturday, April 11: 9 a.m. Divine Liturgy for St. Lazarus
Palm Sunday, April 12: 9:40 Hours; 10 a.m. Liturgy for Palm Sunday; 6 p.m., Bridegroom Matins
Holy Monday, April 13: 6 p.m., Bridegroom Matins
Holy Tuesday, April 14: 6 p.m., Bridegroom Matins
Holy Wednesday, April 15: 6 p.m., Orthros for Holy Thursday
Holy Thursday, April 16:, 6 p.m., Service of the Twelve Passion Gospels
Holy Friday, April 17: 10 a.m., Royal Hours; 3:30 p.m., Great Vespers of Taking Down from the Cross; 6 p.m., Lamentations at the Tomb
Holy Saturday, April 18: 10 a.m., Vesperal Divine Liturgy
10 p.m., Paschal Matins and Divine Liturgy
