CHURCH HOSTS KEY CITY WINDS
The Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest, 602 Meander St., will host the Key City Winds for its next installment of the Chamber Music Concert Series.
The ensemble’s Artists-In-Residence will perform at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, in the church nave. The Key City Winds is a professional woodwind quintet based in Abilene. Joining the Key City Winds will be guest composer Chelsea Komschlies, winner of the inaugural Key City Winds Composition Contest.
Komschlies recently earned an artist diploma in composition from the renowned Curtis Institute in Philadelphia. The concert will include music by Hildegard von Bingen, Amy Beach, Yvonne Desportes, and Jennifer Higdon.
