ADVENT BEGINS IN BEAUTY AND FUN

Sunday, Dec. 2, marked the being of Advent, the four-week period leading to Christmas. It is a time of quiet reflection–but it can also be a fun time as seen in the accompanying photos.
Members of First Central Presbyterian Church enjoyed and Advent Fair on Sunday afternoon. On Sunday morning they returned to their renovated sanctuary and a 14-month absence. The crown jewel of the renovation is a new organ–giving organist Larry Wolz an early Christmas gift!

Some churches place an Advent wreath with four candles that are lit on Sundays leading to Christmas. A Christ candle in the middle is the last one lit.
