MLK, BAHA’I FAITH ON AGENDAS
Two upcoming meetings, sponsored by the Abilene Interfaith Council and the Abilene Association of Congregations, will feature topics of interest to the general public.
Both meetings are free and open to the public. The Abilene Interfaith Councill will meet at noon Jan. 21 at the Abilene Public Library branch in the Mall of Abilene. Mike Kelly will speak on “Baha’i Theology.”
Kelly’s talk will be on the nature of divinity, the messengers, and humankind in the Baha’i Faith tradition.
Bring something for a potluck lunch or make a donation for a slice of pizza.

Anthony Williams
Mayor Anthony Williams will be guest speaker for the first meeting of the year of the Abilene Association of Congregations. The group will meet at 11:45 a.m. Jan. 23 at First Central Presbyterian Church, 400 Orange St.
Williams, Abilene’s first African-American mayor, will speak on the influence and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. MLK Day will be observed Jan. 21.
