The event will take place on the first Thursday of every month from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Food Bank of West Central Texas, 5505 N. 1st St. The Senior Resource Day began Thursday, June 4. The next distribution will be July 2.
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to receive food assistance through the Food Bank’s drive-thru pantry while also meeting with the organization’s Outreach Coordinator to learn about programs and services available to seniors and other eligible community members.
Resources available include:
• Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
• Texas Simplified Application Project (TSAP/SNAP for adults 60+)
• Medicaid for the Elderly and People with Disabilities (MEPD)

Registration for the food pantry will take place onsite during the event. Participants should be prepared to provide basic household information, including total household income, residential address, household size, and a phone number. No advance registration or paperwork is required prior to arrival.
The food distribution is open to all eligible participants and will operate as a drive-thru event. Attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles while Food Bank staff assist with registration and distribution.
