HSU TRIP BONDS FATHER/DAUGHTER

The first time Mike Wurman undertook a monumental endeavor, he came back with “A Sketch & A Prayer.”
This time, he finished with a number of sketches and a bunch of prayers. Wurman is the father of Brittany Pigott, a student in the physician assistant program at Hardin-Simmons University. Each spring, first-year students go on a mission trip to some distant place, accompanied by Jennifer Eames, associate professor and program director, and other faculty.
Pigott was one of the students who went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic last May. She invited her dad to accompany the group and he loved the idea.
“I figured it would give us a chance to bond again,” Wurman said.
