The Aldersgate United Methodist Church Open Door Community Garden was the scene of a neighborhood party Sunday evening.

Food and dessert trucks were provided free of charge to neighbors who came to enjoy the meal, live music, and fellowship. And, some picked ripe vegetables from the garden to take home.

The church offers monthly outings in the garden during the summer. The garden is open to anyone who wants to take home some fresh vegetables free of charge. Signs tell which ones are ready to pick.
