‘A Living PIlgrim Experience’

The Discovery Center, 810 Butternut St., will present a one-time event, “A Living Pilgrim Experience,” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12.

The program will include live reenactments of the Pilgrims’ experience on the Mayflower and their first year in a new land. Guests will sample representative foods from the first Thanksgiving, meet some of the founding heroes, dress in costume, and take on a Pilgrim’s identity. A multimedia presentation will explain how the Pilgrims survived and lived the first year and also why they risked their lives to come to a new land.

The live reenactment covers a 400-year period, 1620-2020. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 5-17. Children under 5 will be admitted free of charge. Call 673-5050 for more information.
