HOPKINS LEAVES LASTING MEMORY
By LORETTA FULTON
Easter Sunday, the holiest day of the Christian year, when resurrection and new life are celebrated, will have a touch of sadness this year.

Felicia Hopkins
For members of St. Paul United Methodist Church and anyone in Abilene who has interacted with the pastor, Felicia Hopkins, it will be a bit of a farewell.
This will be her final Easter sermon at the downtown church she led since June 2013. And at a local golf course.
And on Easter Sunday, she first will preach the 7 a.m. service at Diamondback Golf Club, then at 11 a.m. at St. Paul.

Felicia Hopkins has been a bright spot for Abilene during her tenure at St. Paul’s. I congratulate her on her new position while I console Abilene in our loss of her cheerful presence.
