Ricky Harrison, a 2014 graduate of McMurry University, is the new Dean of Students at his alma mater.

Harrison was named University Chaplain and Director of Religious and Spiritual Life at McMurry in 2023. He will continue to serve as University Chaplin, while Russell Miller will be Director of Religious and Spiritual Life and Assistant University Chaplain.

“Rev. Harrison is widely respected for his commitment to student well-being, inclusive community building, and faith-informed leadership, all of which will continue to guide his work as Dean of Students,” a McMurry news release stated. 

Miller joined the McMurry staff in 2022 and has been involved in campus ministry and student engagement, supporting worship services, service opportunities, and religious life programming, according to the news release. In his new role, he will work closely with Harrison to support campus spiritual life and expand opportunities for student involvement, leadership, and reflection.
