Winter Lightfest, a megawatt fundraiser for the United Way, will open this year on Saturday, Nov. 29, for a 14-day run.
The magnificent light display is located at 2250 E.N. 10th Street and features a three-quarter mile paved walking path through almost 3 million lights. Photo ops will be plentiful, both along the trail and with Santa. Other features include a scavenger hunt, hot chocolate, s’mores and more.
Online tickets begin at $12 for youths ages 3-17 and $15 for adults. Tickets are higher at the gate. Various ticket options are available, including group rates. Parking is free.
Each Sunday throughout the festival, a Holly Jolly Character Pre-Party will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $20. S’mores and hot chocolate will be available while meeting the Holly Jolly characters. Also, a Bark at the Park will be held on Dec. 7 only, beginning at 6 p.m. On that day only, guests can bring their dog. Advanced ticket purchase is required.
