Get in the mood for a joyous holiday season with a presentation by Glenn Dromgoole on his latest book, The Christmas Spirit: A Celebration in Word & Song, at the November meeting of the Abilene Association of Congregations. Everyone is invited to the meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Wylie Methodist Church, 3430 Antilley Road.

Meetings begin with lunch at 11:45 a.m. A $3 donation is requested. After the meeting, which will end no later than 1 p.m., autographed books will be for sale. They will be specially priced at $10, which includes tax. Glenn requests payment in cash or check. The book, a perfect stocking-stuffer, pairs short pieces of prose or poetry with Christmas carols or holiday tunes.
