Some of Santa’s reindeer will join the other exotic animals at the Abilene Zoo for a magical Christmas experience beginning Dec. 13.
The Abilene Zoo Christmas Celebration, a partnership with Reliant Energy, will be open Dec. 13-23. A blurb on the Zoo website says the following:
“Wander through dazzling themed areas with close to one million lights and interactive experiences, transforming Abilene Zoo into a magical holiday destination.”

Among the features are Candy Cane Lane, reindeer stables, Walk to Bethlehem, and Tunnel of Lights. Children can make a toy in Santa’s Toy Workshop, decorate a cookie at Mrs. Claus’s Texas Bakery, and visit Arctic Lights.
S’mores and hot chocolate also will be available.
Tickets are $16 for ages 3 years and up.
