St. Luke Orthodox Begins Holy Week

Easter, or Pascha, will be celebrated May 5 in Orthodox churches, which follow a different calendar from Western churches.

Saturday, April 27: Hours 9:40 a.m./ Divine Liturgy 10 a.m. for St. Lazarus; 5:30 p.m. Great Vespers for Palm Sunday

Sunday, April 28: Palm Sunday: 9 a.m. Matins; 10 a.m. Divine Liturgy. 6 p.m., Bridegroom Matins

Monday, April 29: Holy Monday: 6 p.m. Bridegroom Matins

Tuesday, April 30: Holy Tuesday: 6 p.m. Bridegroom Matins

Wednesday, May 1: Holy Wednesday: 6 p.m. Holy Unction
