Living Last Supper at St. James UMC

A Holy Week tradition that originated in 1997 is returning this week and next to St. James United Methodist Church, 3100 Barrow St.

The Living Last Supper, which brings Leonardo da Vinci’s famed painting to life, features men of the church portraying Jesus and the 12 apostles at the Last Supper in the Upper Room. The public is invited to the free performances.

Performances will begin at 7 p.m. on the following evenings:

Wednesday, March 20 (open dress rehearsal)
Friday, March 22
Saturday, March 23
Sunday, March 24 (Palm Sunday)
Thursday, March 28 (Maundy Thursday, the day of the actual Last Supper)

A promotional flier invites everyone to attend:

“Join us in the Upper Room for a dramatic presentation with Jesus and his apostles as we consider their individual reactions to Jesus’ warning that one of them will betray him.”
