Rolando Diaz ‘The Horses of Revelation’ on Display at Center for Contemporary Arts

Internationally acclaimed Cuban-American fine artist and Abilene Christian University graduate Rolando Diaz will have a retrospective exhibit at the Center for Contemporary Arts, 220 Cypress St., through Feb 24.

“The Horses of Revelation” is the title of the retrospective. The display at the Center for Contemporary Arts also will honor the hand painted China by Lois Jensen.

The following is from the CCA website:

“Join us in celebrating Cuban-American artist Rolando Diaz as he shares his body of work depicting the horses of the biblical Revelation.

Rolando Diaz has painted live with celebrities like Amy Grant and BJ Thomas to support various causes. The PBS documentary “Recapturing Cuba: An Artist’s Journey” follows Diaz as he returns to Cuba, exploring his old Havana neighborhood and the city’s thriving art scene. The documentary won two Gold Awards at the Sundance Film Festival. Diaz views his artistic gifts as a divine tool to serve and bring blessings to others.”
