Community Foundation Creates Searchable Online Directory

The Community Foundation of Abilene has created a first-ever searchable online nonprofit directory to make it easy for users to donate to a favorite cause.

Katie Alford, president of the foundation, issued the following news release:

“I have been with the Foundation for more than 18 years and the question I’ve been asked the most, “Where can I access a nonprofit directory?” Friends, the time is here! The Nonprofit Compass is LIVE and ready for you to explore. The Nonprofit Compass (nonprofitcompass.org) is Abilene’s first-ever, fully searchable online database of local nonprofit organizations.

Nonprofit Compass allows you, the donor, to explore organizations and causes that you care about. The Foundation will utilize this directory throughout the year to provide philanthropically minded individuals like you with information on nonprofit organizations in our region. At this time when year-end giving deadlines are approaching, our goal is that Nonprofit Compass can help navigate your charitable giving. If you have any questions, please reach out to our team. We’re here to help and we’re very excited to present this resource to you and our community.”
