“Experiencing Freedom Now” is the title of a free talk at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at the Community Foundation of Abilene, 850 N. First St.

Presenting the program will be Patricia Cohan Woodard, a Christian Science practitioner from Dallas.

“Her desire is to show each individual their God-given freedom, their real heritage and their right to happiness and health,” a promotional flier says.

The local Christian Science Society meets at 1201 S. Pioneer Drive. Sunday services are at 10:30 a.m. Sunday School for those up to 20 years also meets at 10:30 a.m. Sundays.

On the first and third Wednesdays of the month, testimony meetings are held at 6 p.m. A reading room and bookstore is at 3900 N. First St. Hours are Mondays 4-6 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
