Jay Moore, Abilene’s premiere historian, will be guest speaker for the October meeting of the Abilene Association of Congregations.

His topic will be, “How I Get Home,” detailing some local history. The public is invited to attend the meeting, which begins at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Highland Church of Christ, 425 Highland Ave. Lunch is included for a $3 donation.

Moore, a retired Abilene High School history teacher, created the History in Plain Sight DVD series and is the author of several books about Abilene history.
