HSU ROUND TABLE HONORS TWO

By LORETTA FULTON

In case guests had trouble remembering the name of the honoree at the annual Round Table Scholarship Luncheon, her name was spelled out–with details.

By the time Judy Hancock finished descrbing M-I-C–K-E-Y Cassle, the guests in the packed dining room of the Abilene Country Club knew her well. Cassle received the Woman of Virtue Award, a honor given annually by the Hardin-Simmons University Round Table organization.

Receving a scholarship from HSU was Whitney Boyd of Bronte, who has a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a business administration major.

Entertaining the crowd was Janet Paschal, a gospel singer, songwriter, author and talk show host.

And just who is Mickey Cassle? According to Hancock, she’s:

Mother
Independent
Challenges (Plus Church)
Key City
Education (Plus Exercise and Enthusiasm)
Yumor (Close enough to ‘Humor’)

“Y really stands for you–Mickey Cassle,” Hancock said.
