The San Angelo Diocesan Service Committee is sponsoring a talk on “Spiritual Ecumenism” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church parish hall, 837 Jeannettee St. Speaker will be Matteo Calisi of Bari, Italy.

The presentation, open to the public, is part of the Hearts In One Accord Prayer Meeting. Calisi was appointed by Pope Benedict as a member of the Pontifical Council of the Laity to work in the area of Christian Unity. He continues to be encouraged in the work of reconciliation by Pope Francis.

He has served as President of the Catholic Fraternity of Charismatic Covenant Communities and is President and Founder of United in Christ and the Community of Jesus. Dialogue and dessert to follow meeting.
